From Beat Maker to Music Producer. 24 year old Steven Hernandez, also known as Fresco Bangaz, has now caught the attention of many, and is now making his way into the music industry. Starting at a young age, he always had a passion for music since he can remember. As he was growing up in a Christian Church, he watched his father and grandfather play as musicians in a worship band as lead guitarist, piano, drummer and bassist. Growing up, his father had a home recording studio called " little rock studios" equipped with a reel to reel audio tape recorder, a live room, and vocal booth. Seeing this at an early age, he learned how to play guitar and piano by ear.
At age 17, Steven and a few friends came together calling themselves "Burning Ember" which was known for being a hardcore/screamo band. Playing a few gigs got them some exposure, but he wanted to branch out and learn the traits & magic of audio recording. he started recording and tracking his own demos at age 18, right before high school ended, using his first programs like, Sonar Cakewalk Pro Audio, and a demo version of FL Studio 7.
Steven attended Pinnacle College's, Sound Master Audio Engineering School from 2008-2009 to learn more about engineering and bringing his mixes to another level. Gaining the exposure from his instructors, he was one of many students pulled aside of his class to collaborate on some great projects.
Steven has worked in the studio such as "The Mix Room" & Hollywood Studio Rental, where he met some great musicians, Grammy Award Winning Drummer, Kenny Aronoff as one of them. he worked with Kenny on a record he produced for an Independent Artist, Diamond Ricelli, which was one of the records he produced for Diamond's, "Mr. Make It Happen" album. This album, was the first Independent project's he produced entirely himself.
Steven has also worked with Independent Artist, So Calee, creating some memorable hip hop records for his 9.2.5 Mixtape, "Watchu Call Dat" featuring Pusha Ink's, Ty Dolla Sign. So Calee's single "Watchu Call Dat" has been aired across California's hottest radio stations.
Steven landed his first placement(s) on a television network, Oxygen's new reality show, Girlfriend Confidential: LA, as well as Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. Plus many more to come!
Steven has come a long way from being a beat maker, and is now focusing on becoming one of the industry's most successful Music Producers.
